Ocheme joins Nasarawa Utd

Central attacker, Edoh Ocheme has successfully joined Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Nasarawa United for the remainder of the on-going top-flight.

The former Giwa FC marksman wore the colours of the reigning champions, Enugu Rangers in the first stanza of the top-flight.

Ocheme said desire for a change of environment largely informed his decision to switch camp to the Solid Miners.

“I have joined Nasarawa
United for the remainder of the on-going Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

“Of course, I will campaign in their colours when the second stanza of the season starts in the month.

“Yes, I was well received by the players and that already has given me a sense of belonging.
“I’m happy to switch camp to Nasarawa United as it met my dream for a change of environment.
“No, I did not leave Enugu Rangers because of their present poor form, I still love the side only that I wanted a change of environment.

“Besides, I won the league title with them I desire to win the trophy with another side to further vary my profile.

“I’m positive Enugu Rangers will overcome their challenges to take their rightful place on the league log.

“Of course, I will bring an added value to Nasarawa United to help the side challenge favourably for a continental ticket.

“Enugu and Lafia are quite different in weather condition I’m position that I will play the catch-up well,” said the former Crown FC goal poacher to supersport.com.

The Lafia outfit are ninth on the 20-team top-flight log on 27 points eight behind league leaders, Plateau United.
