Igboananike scores in Örebro loss

Kennedy Igboananike scored for Swedish club, Örebro on Monday in their 1-2 loss to Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan (Swedish top-flight).

The Nigerian netted in the 48th minute to give the visitors the lead in front 17,846 fans at Swedbank Stadion but the hosts levelled matters in the 63rd minute through Markus Rosenberg.

Alexander Jeremejeff secured the win for Malmö FF to ensure they remain top of the standings with 14 points from a
possible 18.

On a personal note, it represented a fine day for Igboananike who has now scored twice in his first six league games for Örebro this season.

The 28-year-old spent the last two season in the United States where he plundered 12 goals for Chicago Fire and DC United in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

Igboananike has also previously played for Swedish clubs like Vasalund, Djurgården and AIK.
