Shuaibu, Ikedi on target for Haugesund

Nigerian stars Ibrahim Shuaibu and Ikenna Ikedi were among the goals as their Norwegian side FK Haugesund smashed Coleraine FC of Northern Ireland 7-0 in the Europa League, first qualifying round, first leg game on Thursday.

Haugesund were in fine form and showed intent as early as the eighth minute when Sondre Tronstad opened the floodgates with a well-taken goal.
Coleraine contained the Norwegian club for the next 20 minutes but it went downhill
for them from there.

Liban Abdi added a second on 33 minutes and Haugesund were rampant from that point. Haris Hajradinovi made it 3-0 five minutes later before the Nigerians took over the show.

Ikedi and Shuaibu scored in the 49th and 52nd minutes respectively before Erik Huseklepp and Johnny Per Buduson completed the rout for a comprehensive 7-0 first-leg win.

The goals by Shuaibu and Ikedi was their first ever in the Europa League and the team will now fancy their chances of progressing to the next round.
