Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC centre back, Monsuru Bashiru has said the tie against newcomers, Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC gives his side a rare chance to inch close to the summit.
The Olukoya Boys are hosts of the Saraki Boys in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 27 clash at the Agege Township Stadium in Lagos.

The Lagos landlords were benched 0-1 by the IIorin-based side in the first fixture clash in IIorin.
Bashiru said his side’s eyes are wholly fixed at taking over the summit position in the on-going Nigerian top-flight.

“The clash against ABS FC on Sunday gives us 90% opportunity to move closer to taking over at the summit.

“Victory in the clash will take our points haul to 46 which will be
perfect to keep us firmly on the second spot with few points separating us from the leaders, Plateau United.

“We are very much ready to take the opportunity with both hands to earn the vital three points at stake.

“Thereafter, we hope to take a pensive look at our away matches on how to garner more wins to take us directly to the summit.

“With more wins on the road and good performance on the home ground we are certain to achieve our hearts’ desire.

“ABS are certain to prove tough and perhaps dream of making it a double against us on Sunday in Lagos.

“However, they will not be lucky as our confidence level is at its highest height to challenge any team for the whole points at stake.

“I can tell you outright that nobody can stop us from realising our lofty dream, ABS FC will try their very best but we will turn them back empty-handed.

“There is no cause for alarm we remain on the right path to climbing to the top spot of the on-going top-flight,” said the MFM FC strongman to supersport.com.

The Lagos outfit are second on the 20-team top-flight log on 43 points five behind league leaders, Plateau United.
