Remo Stars head coach Fatai Osho is confident his side will avoid the drop from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) at the end of the season.
The Sky Blue Stars are ensconced at the bottom of the log with 19 points from 19 matches after a 0-1 reverse in Port Harcourt to last season’s runners-up Rivers United on Wednesday.

The newly promoted club now have the same number of matches to save themselves from ejection from the Nigerian top flight.
Osho knows he
faces an uphill task but insists his charges will rise up to the occasion in the second stanza of the campaign.
“We are not in a good position on the table but I am confident we will avoid relegation,” Osho told supersport.com.
“We have been playing well but the results have just not been coming.
“There are still 19 matches to be played and I am confident we will avoid relegation at the end of the season,” he said.
Many expected the club to reinforce their ranks during the transfer window but that has not been the case.
Osho reaffirmed that failure to invest in the transfer market could prove to be a blessing in disguise in the end.
“I do not believe we made a mistake by not investing in the transfer market.
“We have very good players here and there is cohesion in the team.
“You will see in our results in the second round of the season,” he said.
Remo Stars were promoted to the NPFL at the start of the season alongside three other clubs, ABS FC, Gombe United and Katsina United, from the Nigeria National League.
