MFM showing 'serious interest' in Afeez Awakan 

The former Flying Antelopes midfielder is set to decide on his future amid interest from the ‎Olukoya Boys

Afeez Awakan is close to making a decision on his next move as the resumption of the second round of the Nigeria Professional Football League season nears.

The former Enugu Rangers player has been on the wish list of a host of clubs but Goal has scooped that MFM, who may not be able to meet his wage demands, are very keen on his services.

"Awakan will decide on Monday where he's willing to play when the second round of the league resumes," the source told Goal.

"Though every club is working on bringing good
players to their squad, the player's concern is to sign a good deal and get more playing time.

"MFM have shown serious interest but what they are offering is way below the minimum wage demand from Awakan however they will offer more playing time which is the attraction so far.

"Right now, he has been giving time to think through, weighing his options and take a decision on Monday."


Awakan was named the Most Valuable player in the 2015 Federation Cup where he helped Akwa United lift the trophy.
