Bobby Clement demands Enugu Rangers’ focus on Zesco United game
The Flying Antelopes’ striker has tasked his
teammates to forget about their form in the league as they prepare for
the Zambia this weekend
and in the deciding return leg slated for Lusaka next weekend.
The Flying Antelopes were dumped out of the Caf Champions League in the first round by Zamalek of Egypt and they rock the base of the NPFL log but Clement has tasked his teammates to remain positive.
“We have had a near forgettable experience this season in both the league and on the continent. We never expected this with the way we performed last season but we need to put that behind us and concentrate on the two games we have in the Confederation Cup,” Clement told Goal.
“A ticket to the group stage of the competition will no doubt have its effect on us for the better and this can change our season. We are not where we ought to be but we can make it better with good display in the upcoming games with Zesco United.”
Clement has scored five goals in all competitions for Enugu Rangers and he is expected to lead the line again this weekend after he returned from injury in their last league game against Enyimba on Sunday.
