Late Regt strike rescues Oliseh’s Fortuna Sittard from defeatThe

former Super Eagles handler continued his unbeaten run in the Dutch second division during a frustrating Friday afternoon
Ferry de Regt snatched an injury-time equaliser to secure Fortuna Sittard a 1-1 draw against Telstar and preserve the side’s unbeaten run under Sunday Oliseh.
Oliseh got off his managerial role at Fortuna off to a flying start with a 1-0 away victory against relegation-doomed Achilles 29.

And in his home debut at the Offermans Joosten Stadium, it almost ended on a losing note as Toine van Huizen gave the visitors the lead in the 32nd minute, though were reduced to 10 men after Crescendo van Berkel was given the marching order three minutes from
the half time break.

However, there was a late twist in the tale for Fortuna Sittard, who had to settle for a point when Regt got a 90th-minute equaliser.

The draw means Oliseh’s men move to 16th in the Jupiler league, 25 points behind leaders VV Venlo after 21 games.

Fortuna face Almere City FC in their next outing on January 27 at the Yanmar Stadium.
