Kano Pillars' Gyan wary of Shooting Stars
The
striker is wary of the threat posed by the Oluyole Warriors despite claiming a big victory over them last season
Gyan has revealed that a win in Kano will serve as a lubricant to the team's morale as they host the Oluyole Warriors who were whitewashed 6-0 in Kano last season.
The four-time NPFL champions were handed a walkover victory on match day one, before suffering defeat to Lobi Stars last this week.
"Kano Pillars aren't under any sort of pressure to score as many goals as we did against Shooting Stars last season," Gyan told Goal.
"They aren't a bad side, they will equally hope
to pull a surprise here in Kano.
"We (Kano Pillars) need just one thing, and that's the maximum point. Attaining a consistent performance in a 38 weeks league format demands a lot of discipline and focus.
"We do want to win because the battle to lift the league trophy has just started."
