A 17 year old Senior at Central High School, Louisiana, Daniel Wesley, was
headed home after leaving the Mall of Louisiana when he saw a woman with
gunshot wounds, dying on the street. He put on a pair of gloves and
searched for the woman’s bullet wounds, looking for the best place to apply
pressure. The 17-year-old didn’t have his EMT certification yet, but in the
critical moments the first thing that came to his mind was to help stop the
bleeding.
