ABS hook Deemua, promote U15s

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit ABS FC have announced the signing of Deemua Best and the promotion of youngsters Olusegun Olakunle and David Okoromi to their senior team.
Deemua joins from Rivers United, according to ABS director of football Alloy Chukwuemeka.

Chukwuemeka stated that the players were recruited to complement the team and help turn around the fortunes of the Ilorin-based club when the NPFL resumes later in the month.
Also signed by ABS is
Akinbo Oluwasegun who came in from Ikorodu United.
Others include Orji Ejike, a midfielder from FC Abuja and Mudasir Nurudeen formerly of Kaduna United who was recruited after impressing scouts of ABS during a Nigeria National League game in Ilorin.
Chukwuemeka was also ecstatic about the progress made by the club’s youth policy after three players were promoted to the first team.
Chidi Ogbodo, a defender, joins Okoromi and Olakunle as promoted players after impressing the coaches.
Olakunle, who was voted the most valuable player at last month's NFPL Under-15 Promises tournament, made the progress from the youth team of ABS.
ABS are currently 12th on the NPFL log with 25 points from 19 matches.
