MFM’s Odey dedicates eighth goal of the season to teammates

 

The Olukoya Boys’ forward has praised his teammates for creating the chances for him to get the goals after hitting his eighth of the season

MFM striker, Stephen Odey has dedicated his eighth goal of the season to his teammates who worked very hard to ensure that they secure a point against Enyimba on Saturday at the UJ Esuene Stadium.

Odey surprised the People’s Elephant’s faithful when he netted the opening goal in the first half of the encounter before a late rally from the home side salvaged a point through Ibrahim Mustapha.

“It was another brilliant effort from us and I must stress that we
gave Enyimba a good fight. We wanted the three points and played for it but the pitch was in bad shape. It didn’t give room for free flowing football at all. We are happy to return home with a point against a tough side like Enyimba,” Odey told Goal.

“I am dedicating my goal to my teammates because without them supporting me there was no how the goal would have come in the first place. We shall go to Bauchi on Wednesday hoping to get another impressive away point against Wikki Tourists.”

MFM are third on the log with 20 points from 11 games and they will face Wikki Tourists on Wednesday in Bauchi in one of their two outstanding matches.
