Algeria will be stepping stone for Nigeria, boasts Nigeria's vice-president Osinbajo
The nation's second citizen has backed Gernot Rohr's
men to crush their north African opponents to boost their dreams of
qualifying for the 2018 World Cup
Gernot Rohr's men target maximum points at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium to maintain their good start after Zambia victory in Ndola.
And Osinbajo is confident the Super Eagles will triumph as he assured the players and officials great motivation from the federal government.
"We have been following what has happened so far and we are happy you're doing the country proud," Osinbajo told media.
"We are expected we go to the World Cup and not only going to the World Cup but coming back with the victory.
"I know you guys are all set for the match. I know the Algerians will be stepping stones for our qualification to the World Cup.
"Frankly, I think we have everything that it takes. We have all our hopes and aspirations placed on your very able shoulders and we will be looking forward to victory.
"We will give all the very necessary support that we can as the minister has pointed out there have been financial problems. So we will try to provide all the necessary funds.
"So we are looking forward to having you do your own part to bring us victory. This match is important because if we win this match we are automatically there. All the others in our group have already drawn and then we are set for qualification.
"I think all we need to do now is to remain hopeful and prayerful for the team to succeed," he concluded.
