Real, Barca in another showdown

Real Madrid will look to make the most of the 3-1 in the first leg to lift their second title of the season against rivals Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday evening.

Kick-off is at 11pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).
Just one game now separates the La Liga champions from what would be their second title in barely a week at the start of this new season.
Last Tuesday saw Real lift the European
Super Cup, and just eight days on, they have the chance to get their hands on the Spanish version.
If they're to do so, they'll have to make their magnificent 3-1 advantage count following their exhibition at the Camp Nou last Sunday.
The game will also be the first time this season Real play in front of their fans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid know that a draw or even a 1-0 defeat will be enough to take the trophy, but they've already stated their intentions are to win in front of the home crowd.
“We are Real Madrid. We're not going to think about the result in the first leg, we'll go out to win it, said defender Dani Carvajal.

MODRIC RETURNS Zidane heads into the first home clash of the season fully aware that the tie is far from over, but he'll be pleased to count on the presence of Modric, who missed the first leg through suspension.
“Anything is possible in football and Barcelona can cause you problems at any moment”, explained the Frenchman in the press conference prior to the game.

A single Real goal would see Barcelona needing three just to take the game to extra-time.
The numbers look set firmly in Real's favour in this regard - they have scored in their last 67 competitive matches (the last 5 of the 15/16 campaign, all 60 last season and the first two this time around) and 13 in a row at home in the Spanish Super Cup, a record-breaking figure in the tournament.

That's exactly what their minds will be fixed on as they travel to the Spanish capital.
Real will be doing all they can to avoid it though, as they look to clinch their second title of this fledgling campaign.
