The Promise Keepers are hosts of the People’s Elephant in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 27 clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Friday said emphatically that his side will beat the two-time African champions for the three points at stake in the clash.
“We are winning the clash against Enyimba, though the encounter is certain to be difficult
for both sides.
“We want to upstage Enyimba on the league log and chance inching close to the league top spot.
“Enyimba are good side but if we consider their past achievements, we are certain to be well scared of them.
“For us Enyimba are merely living on past glory as the side cannot be said to be better than us on current form.
“We will certainly beat them for the whole three points at stake as they have already taken their fair share of the points with the narrow victory in the first fixture clash in Calabar.
“Of course, we will like to score more goals in the encounter than they did in the first fixture clash.
“I will equally want to score as well as win the clash convincingly, unlike what happened in the last match at Remo Stars in Sagamu,” said the Akwa United marksman to supersport.com.
The Uyo landlords are fourth on the 20-team top-flight on 40 points, eight behind league leaders Plateau United.
