Grigor Dimitrov targets ATP World Tour Finals at London's O2

Grigor Dimitrov says his goal is to "try to get to London" as the talented Bulgarian looks to enjoy a successful summer on the circuit culminating at the ATP World Tour Finals in November.

The 26-year-old has long been regarded as one
of the game's most naturally gifted players, but the former Junior No 1 has largely failed to live up to his billing.

Dimitrov won the Queen's Club title in 2014 and followed it up by reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon.

So far this year he has already claimed titles in Brisbane and Sofia, as well as reaching the last four at the Australian Open, where he lost out in a five-set thriller to Rafael Nadal.

The Bulgarian has been steadily climbing the rankings under the guidance of his coach Dani Vallverdu and is now targeting a top-eight spot in order to reach prestigious season-ending extravaganza at London's O2 - live on Sky Sports from 12-19 November.
"My goal is to, of course, try to get to London," he said during a press conference at Queen's Club. "Quite a few times I have missed it by a spot or two in the past couple of years. So this is, I would say, my goal. What it requires to be, whether you like it or not, like top 8, I think that's a higher goal as it is.
"But right now I need to stay grounded, stay humble, and focus on what's ahead of me, to be honest. I'm very excited about not only the grass court season but the summer ahead. I feel it's going to be great. My team is feeling good, and we don't know what we're gonna do. We have our goals in front of us. We have everything that we need to do in order for things to work.
"All I'm saying is that you can give yourself the best chance every day to be the best that you can."

Dimitrov is showing signs he could make another run at the All England Club next month and with the likes of Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic struggling for form, the way could be open for an outsider to break through, but Dimitrov is refusing to get carried away.
"It is what it is guys. Let's face it, everybody is playing good nowadays," he added.
"I don't think we should be that hard on the situation. I believe all these players that are out right now, they will be extra motivated when Wimbledon comes around.
"They are going to have extra days to be on the court, extra days to rehab or to work on certain things, on their tools."
