The coach revealed around 6pm local time (7pm CAT) that his contract has been terminated by the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions.
"It's official, received a termination of my contract with Rangers International Football Club by email by 5:35pm. Thank you lord for every," Amapakabo wrote on his Twitter account on Monday.
Around 4pm on the same day Amapakabo had told supersport.com that he was yet to be notified about being suspended indefinitely after the club played out a 2-2 draw with Zesco United in the Caf Confederation Cup on Sunday.
