Mbaoma eyes 10 first term goals

Victor Mbaoma

Remo Stars striker, Victor Mbaoma has said his target is to increase goal tally to 10 in the first stanza of the on-going top-flight.

The Sky Blue Stars’ marksman has netted seven goals six short of goal leader, Stephen Odey of Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC in the 17-week old top-flight.

The top-flight newcomers
are guests of Sunshine Stars in Sunday’s top-flight matchday 18 clash at the Akure Township Stadium.

Mbaoma said he just have to score in the Southwest derby against the Owena Waves aimed at inching close to achieve his lofty dream.

“I have scored seven goals so far in the on-going Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
“My target is to take the total goals to 10 by the end of the first stanza on the top-flight.
“At least we have two more matches on the calendar to end the first term so it’s a wonderful opportunity for me to leverage on to achieve my goal.

“So I just have to score starting with the Sunday’s Southwest derby at Sunshine Stars.
“Our target is to claim the whole three points at stake in the clash to further help our course on the log.

“We do not have choices right now than to win our matches especially as our next two games are on the road to Sunshine Stars and Enyimba.

“If we could not get the whole points we should at least pick two or four points.
“Sunshine Stars are not in their finest mood we must work on it to contest for the whole points,” said the Remo Stars’ hitman to supersport.com.

Remo Stars are 14th on the 20-team top-flight on 19 points 13 behind leaders, Plateau United with a game to spare at Rivers United.
