Niger
Tornadoes head coach, Abubakar Bala has blamed the inability to convert
chances for the side’s loss at Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).
The
Minna landlords fell 1-2 to the Oluyole Warriors in Sunday’s top-flight
matchday 18 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
Bala
said his side created good chances to have buried the game in their
favour especially in the first half of the crunch encounter.
“We created good few chances but could not utilise them especially in the first half.
“Of course, when you do not use your chances one gets punished somehow and that was exactly what
Sunshine give Olujohungbe ultimatum
happened
against 3SC.
“3SC had their own chances and they made it counts positively to win the clash we matched them in all fronts.
“And the idea of conceding late goal is becoming frequent and I’m really uncomfortable and worried.
“I have to quickly correct the poor situation where we concede a late goal this is becoming a tradition.
“We
conceded at home against Sunshine Stars and also did same with Lobi
Stars I have to find a solution to this problem,” said the former FC
Lokoja coach to supersport.com.
Niger
Tornadoes are fourth on the 20-team top-flight on 27 points six behind
league leaders, Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC.
The
Ikon Allah Boys will on Sunday play host to former champions, Kano
Pillars at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja to end the first stanza
campaign.
