Kano Pillars winger Amos Gyang is pained that his side dropped points at home against Nasarawa United in a Matchday 16 Nigeria Professional Football League game on Wednesday at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
It looked like it would be a good day at the office for the ‘Sai Masu Gida’ when Mubarak Said put them ahead in the eighth minute
of the game but Nasarawa’s Adamu Hassan broke Kano hearts with the equalizer on 57 minutes.
Pillars huffed and puffed but could not get the winner as the Lafia-based side took a crucial point off the former NPFL champions.
Gyang feels his side let themselves down in the game and is gutted they dropped points at home in a competitive 2016/17 NPFL season.
“I’m disappointed with the result, to be honest. We let ourselves down. Everyone is not happy that we dropped points at home,” he told supersport.com.
“We have to take a hard look at ourselves because we let the fans down with this draw. We lost a lot of chances to win the game.
“That is beyond us now. It won’t be good to dwell on our mistakes but we are going to learn from them and work harder moving forward.
“The next game is our focus. We have to get something against El-Kanemi this weekend. They are a strong side but we will do our best to defeat them,” Gyang added.
