EXTRA TIME: Gernot Rohr visits popular market in Lagos

The Super Eagles boss stopped by at one of the biggest markets in Lagos, and has got a gift for one of his players
Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr shared his memorable experience after visiting popular Balogun market in one of his trips to the commercial hub of Nigeria.

The German tactician has enjoyed a decent run of results as he prepares for a double header World Cup qualification fixture against African champions Cameroon in August.

The 63-year old also got a gift for Mainz defender, Leon Balogun to show him where his father comes from in Lagos.

“We went to Balogun market, it was wonderful and a big crowd
and some people spoke about football. ‘You must beat Cameroon’ they kept telling me,” Rohr told Super Eagles YouTube page.

“I took a photo because I will send it to Leon Balogun. His father comes from there, I think.

“I had a beautiful day in Lagos. In this big city, very nice people, everybody is big on hospitality.

“I spend some time in Lagos, I have seen not only the final of the Federation Cup. I saw the Super Cup final in Abuja before coming back to Lagos.”
