Madu thumbs up teammates for Lafia draw

The 

Flying Antelopes’ player has expressed happiness for the team’s deserved draw in Lafia on Wednesday

Enugu Rangers’ midfielder Chiamaka Madu has stated that the Flying Antelopes deserved their point against Nasarawa United in Lafia in a NPFL 2016/17 Match Day Two tie on Wednesday.

Madu said that they were hurt and shocked by their home loss to Abia Warriors in their opening day fixture and that what was paramount in their minds while they going for the away tie with the Solid Miners was not to suffer another defeat to defuse talk of crisis in the team.

He disclosed that they played in Lafia as if their entire life depended on getting a result and that they were delighted that they have begun their season with a point and that they hope to get the job done at home when they host El kanemi Warriors in another tough Match
Day Three tie.

“It was well deserved draw in Lafia. We worked for it and we are happy we got it,” Madu  told Goal.

“We never doubted our capability and the loss to Abia Warriors was just a game that we do not wish repeat itself again. We were so shocked and surprised but we just have to move on prepare for other games to see if we can gain the loss pride. We never stopped believing."
