Wikki Tourists technical adviser, Mohammed Baba Ganaru has called for patience and understanding among the side's teeming supporters in the ongoing top-flight.
The nation’s campaigners in Africa’s second tier club competition, Caf Confederation Cup have not been clinical with their performances in the four-week-old top-flight.
Ganaru said Wikki Tourists are on a solid path as far as the ongoing top-flight is concerned.
“Wikki Tourists are perfectly fine as far as the ongoing 2016-17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) is concerned.
“We may not have churned out the desired results or met the expectations and heights of our teeming supporters.
“However, we know that nothing has gone amiss as things are still under control.
“I know for certain that we will catch up with the
front-runners in no distance time.
“Key to achieving the lofty dream is patience and understanding on the part of our fans and supporters.
“We are passionately appealing to them to be calm and supportive as we are determined to meet their expectations.
“The league is still young to press the alarm button, we want everybody to queue behind the team and all shall be perfectly well,” said the former Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United coach to supersport.com.
Ganaru said his side are ready to claim all three points at stake in the top-flight clash against FC IfeanyiUbah on Sunday in Bauchi.
“We are ready to confront fellow Caf Confederation Cup campaigners, FC IfeanyiUbah.
“Every league match is quite important to us so we are determined to claim the whole three points at stake.
“We will miss the services of Idris Guda Mohammed to injury and Shammah Tanze on greener pasture run, but we have good replacements for them,” said Ganaru.
Wikki Tourists have earned four points from a possible 12 in the four-week-old top-flight.
