The AFCON, known in full as the Total Africa Cup of Nations due to sponsorship, starts in Gabon on January 14.
The tournament, which features 16 teams and will last until February 5, was initially set to be hosted by Libya.
However, CAF rescinded their right to host the competition
due to ongoing war in the country and Gabon were instead awarded the competition.
WHICH TEAMS HAVE QUALIFIED?
Gabon have qualified for the 2017 AFCON as hosts and will face Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal and Zimbabwe consist of Group B.
Ivory Coast, DR Congo, Morocco and Togo make up Group C.
Group D will be comprised of Ghana, Mali, Egypt and Uganda.
WHICH PL STARS ARE INVOLVED?
A total of 24 Premier League players will be involved, leaving a total of 13 clubs short of players.
Sadio Mane departs Liverpool to represent Senegal, while Mohamed Elneny has left Arsenal to play for Egypt.
Leicester will also be adversely affected, with Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani set to represent Algeria and Daniel Amartey to play for Ghana.
Elsewhere, Eric Bailly has left behind Manchester United, while Crystal Palace lose both Bakary Sako and Wilfried Zaha, the latter of whom opted against playing for England.
Burnley, Chelsea, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Swansea City, Tottenham and West Brom are the Premier League clubs not represented.
