Former LASAA boss releases book on outdoor advertising

The  intrigues and high-stake politicking that characterised events which played out in Lagos State outdoor advertising sector, in the build-up to Nigeria’s 2015 general elections, have been detailed in a new book titled 2015 Elections: The Politics of Outdoor Advertising in Lagos State.

Comprising 22 chapters, the book is authored by George Noah, immediate past Managing Director, Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency .

Noah is said to have piloted affairs of the agency during the 2015 elections.
The publishers add in a statement,
“He was in the eye of the storm – as former federal authorities and opposition groups engaged LASAA in a battle of attrition famously dubbed The Lagos Poster War. Covering a broad array of themes, which expound issues that transpired, the book sets the record straight and offers insightful perspectives.
“The book addresses challenges faced by outdoor regulatory agencies during electioneering and the potential personal risks faced by personnel of these agencies – among other issues.

“It also sheds light on the roughshod approach adopted by the then PDP-led Federal Government. This culminated in threats to his life and termination of outdoor advertising along federal government roads in Lagos – leading to protests
