The Seasiders were relegated on the final day of the season, and the forward believes they were architect of their own failure.

Warri Wolves' Kelvin Itoya has apologised to the club's fans following team's relegation from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Despite a lone goal from Sikiru Alimi in the 1-0 win over Ikorodu United on match day 38, the Warri based side failed to beat the drop as they were edged on goal difference by MFM FC.

"Seeing Warri Wolves relegated from the NPFL has been a catastrophe for us all," Itoya told Goal.
"Mistakes were made during the recently concluded season, we are sorry for that.

"It was so painful to go down to the Nigeria National League after putting so much effort.

"We would like to say sorry to our magnificent supporters who have  turned up in their thousands, home and away, up and down the country and who have given the team amazing backing throughout."
