‘We won’t give up NNL summit’

Isah Saadu

Crown FC attacking midfielder Isah Saadu has said his side will not give up their summit position in the on-going Bet9ja Nigeria National League (NNL).

The Ajilete Giants are guests of neighbours Gateway United in Saturday’s Bet9ja NNL matchday 15 clash at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode.

Saadu said his side know that only a good result in the clash at Gateway United will guarantee them a firm and further hold on the prime position.

“In the last four successful matches we have shown consistence in the area of line up we are certain to maintain same line up at Gateway United.

“With the quality of preparations we put in place for the clash I
can say confidently that we are ready for another wonderful performance.

“We dreamt and worked very hard to climb to the summit and now we are right there we will not easily give it up.

“In fact, our stand is to be at the top, remain at the top until we are

“Maximum points at Gateway United will further firm our hands at the summit while we return home against Go-Round FC to consolidate before the last match on midterm calendar at Heartland.
“We will go for the whole points at stake and the high spirit among us indicates that the task is achievable.

“That’s not to say that Gateway United are underrated or will be cheap. They are a good side and sure to give us a good fight. We are somehow ahead to have prepared ourselves for the toughest clash,” said the former Plateau United marksman to supersport.com.

Saadu said he is resolute in achieving the personal target of 10 goals in the first stanza of the league.
“The first term target is to score a minimum of 10 goals, I have scored five so today’s (Saturday) is another rare chance to up my goal tally.

“I have trained specifically for the clash, hopefully to score at least a goal or more at the end of 90 minutes' action,” said Saadu.

The Ogbomosho landlords are top of the 18-team NNL southern conference log on 29 points, the same as closest challengers Heartland but on superior goals.
