Ojo said the heart-warming away draw is a prayer answered as it’s certain to boost their confidence going forward in other matches on the calendar.
“Yes, it was a beautiful
dream I held coming into this match and I’m pleased that it came to pass – a debut clean sheet and an away draw, it’s an awesome feeling and I give credit to God and teammates.
“The result is a morale boost for us going forward in subsequent matches on the NPFL calendar.
“Of course, a loss would have dampened our morale but with this heart-warming away draw we are certain to be enamoured to fight for more good result as we progress.
“MFM FC are great team with young guys ready to give their very best in every match and they did not disappoint.
“I can only advice the side not to relax or weighed down by the draw as they have potential to go places in the on-going top-flight.
“We knew we are coming to face one of the toughest sides in the league and that’s why we did extra work to be able to match their grit and pedigree.
“We are just happy and encouraged by this result to continue to work even harder in other matches,” said the former Sunshine Stars shot stopper to supersport.com.
The draw at MFM FC takes Akwa United total earnings to 30 points from possible 60 in the 20-week old top-flight.
