Red-hot Henry Onyekuru rescues AS Eupen from defeat

AS Eupen's Henry Onyekuru continued his rich vein of form as he was on target in their 3-3 away draw against Kortrijk in Saturday’s Europa League qualification play-off.

He gave his side the lead in the 13th minute after Stijn De Smet’s penalty had erased Eric Ocansey’s opener, though they were unable to maintain the lead as their hosts clawed back to earn a point.

Luis Garcia made it 3-1 for the Pandas but Andriy Totovitskiy and Sidy Sarr’s late strikes denied them of a famous away victory.

Onyekuru with this feat has scored in four back-to-back games for Jordi Condom Aulí’s men. Overall, he boasts of 17 goals
from 32 appearances this season.

AS Eupen are three points behind leaders Gent in the six-team group as winners will represent Belgium in the Europa League next season. They host the leaders on April 26 at Kehrwegstadion, Eupen.
