The Nigeria Football Federation has paid tribute to late Nigeria international, Olubayo Adefemi who died in the northern part of Greece on this day in 2011.

The former Skoda Xanthi defender was reported to be driving from Xanthi to Salonika in the Kavala region of northern Greece when he lost control of his car while
on his way to finalize details of his wedding.

Adebayo was part of Nigeria's squad that won silver in the 2005 Fifa u20 World Cup in Netherlands and 2008 Olympics Games in Beijing, with ten games and two goals in both tournaments.
The NFF took to Twitter to remember the late centre-back who made five apperances for the Super Eagles.
