Wikki Tourists captain and right back Mustapha Ibrahim has said his side were unlucky in the top-flight clash at champions Enugu Rangers.
The Bauchi Elephants were beaten 2-3 by the Flying Antelopes in Wednesday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rescheduled matchday 13 clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

The Coal City trio, Bobby Clement, Ifeanyi George and Ousmane Pape's goals made the difference in the crunch clash while
the duo, Chukwudi Samuel and Shammah Tanze scored the consolations for the Bauchi landlords.
Ibrahim said his side were happy with their great performance even though it counted for nothing at the end of the day.
“We had big performance though the low is that we lost the clash 2-3 to the hosts, Enugu Rangers.
“Of course, there are great improvements in this game compared with our last match at Abia Warriors.
“Even in defeat the fans that watched the match stood up at the end of the clash to applaud our performance.
“I think we were damn unlucky not to have pulled at least a draw in the clash or how does one explains the last minute effort that hit the woodwork.
“I can only conclude that today (Wednesday) is not our day as we actually performed,” said the former Nigerian junior international strongman to supersport.com.
Ibrahim said his side are unhappy ending the first stanza campaign without a point on the road.
“We do not like the pitiable record of ending the first term campaign without a point on the road.
“Well, it actually happened. There is nothing we could do to rewrite the history or ignoble record.
“However, we are positive to bounce back stronger in the second stanza given the strong manner we ended the first term,” said Ibrahim.
The loss at Rangers leaves the Bauchi outfit in 17th spot in the 20-team top-flight on 21 points, 14 behind leaders Plateau United.
