Bazuaye wants Rivers Utd scalp

Baldwin Bazuaye

Katsina United head coach, Baldwin Bazuaye says Thursday’s rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game against Rivers United will be handled with seriousness by his charges.

The two NPFL sides go toe to toe at the picturesque 35,000 capacity Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in desperate search for points.

Only one place and one point separate the two sides on the log and Bazuaye knows the importance of a win in
Thursday’s game.

“We see Rivers United as our brothers and by the special grace of God, we will try to amass maximum points,” he told supersport.com.

“It will be a good game because Rivers United are very strong opponents.

“They are the only Nigerian side left on the continent and deserve respect,” he said.

Katsina United are in 15th place on the NPFL log with 22 points from 18 matches while Rivers United occupies 16th place with 21 points from 16 matches.
