Olorunleke full of praise for Wikki

Sunshine Stars of Akure first choice goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo says his team deserved the 1-0 win over visiting Wikki Tourists in a Week 12 Nigeria Professional Football League game on Sunday.

Ambrose Onyema's 23rd minute effort was the ?difference between the two sides as the Akure side bagged all the three points on the day.

The former Flying Eagles goalkeeper said he is happy his side got the win in a very difficult game against the Bauchi side.

"It was a very tough game against Wikki. The game was hard but what matters most
is that we got the maximum points," Olorunleke said to supersport.com.


"Our hard work and God's help was what gave us the win and the three points.
"Wikki also did well but we were able to subdue them and get the points at stake."

Olorunleke also reserved some good words for the opponents Wikki Tourists describing them as a very good side and worthy opponents on the day.

"Wikki were really tough. They are a very good side coached by a very good coach. They pushed us all the way but we dug deep and got the points needed," he revealed

"The game was a very tactical one. Wikki do have some very good players but our efforts were rewarded at the end.”

With the win against Wikki Tourists, Sunshine Stars are now 11th on the NPFL log with 15 points from 12 games.
