Niger Tornadoes focused on beating Akwa United, says James

The Ikon Allah defender says his side is putting its full attention on Sunday's game in quest for victory against the Promises Keepers in Lokoja
Niger Tornadoes' Iko James believes his side are focused on defeating Akwa United when they meet in a Week 14 encounter at the Confluence Stadium.

Ikon Allah suffered a 2-0 defeat against El Kanemi Warriors at Maiduguri and has a good chance to make amends at home against
Abdul Maikaba's men in Lokoja on Sunday.

"We had a good game against El Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri last Sunday," James told Goal.
"Unfortunately, we lost despite we played well and we are disappointed not to get something out of the game.

"It is behind us and we are now focused on beating Akwa United. We came to Lokoja early enough to commence training ahead of Sunday’s game to correct some mistakes we made in Maiduguri.

"I'm confident we will win against Akwa because we are getting to understand ourselves better in every department.
"We hope to continue to improve with every game and Sunday's match is a good opportunity for us to show we are not in the league to make the number.

"Like I said before, we are a work in progress but there is plenty of work to be done."
